The Glam Media team brings together significant experience in the women's content vertical in both traditional and online media as well as expertise in technology, sales, publishing and marketing.  The operating staff was recruited from companies including Elle, Harper's Bazaar, eBay, NetObjects, Tickle, and Yahoo.  The editorial staff is led by veterans from In Style, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, The New York Times, and Ziff Davis.

Samir Arora, Founder, Chairman, and CEO
Samir Arora founded lifestyle hub Glam Media to create a better way for brand advertisers to connect with their audiences on the Web. A tech-industry veteran, Arora was previously the chairman of Emode/Tickle, Inc, which was later sold to Monster in June 2004. Prior to that, Arora was chairman and CEO of NetObjects, Inc. where he drove the creation of the first web site building product NetObjects Fusion. Arora also currently serves as chairman of Information Capital LLC, a venture-capital fund based in Woodside, Calif., that invests in leading-edge "big idea companies" in consumer publishing, media, and technology. Fernando Ruarte, Co-Founder, CTO, and VP Engineering
Ruarte is a seasoned information technology executive with over 15 years of experience and was founder and former VP of engineering at ViaFone, NetObjects, Extended Systems, and SIF. Ruarte developed one of the first content management systems for the Internet in 1995.
  
Scott Schiller, EVP, Sales, Women's Markets
Schiller is a founder of the IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau), and has more than 20 years of advertising, sales management, and media experience from some of the best names in entertainment, including AOL, Disney, and MTV. He is from New York and that makes him a major Yankee fan.
  
  John Trimble, EVP, New Markets Sales
Trimble oversees advertising sales for new audiences and markets. Formerly senior vice president of advertising sales for Fox Interactive Media, Trimble oversaw all brand advertising sales for MySpace, IGN, Fox Sports, American Idol and Scout. Previously, he was the vice president of advertising for Fox Interactive Sports and FoxSports.com.
 
Carl Portale, VP and Publishing Director
Portale was publisher at the Elle Group, Harper's Bazaar, Mirabella, Good Housekeeping, Neiman Marcus magazine, and Town & Country.
 
Jack Rotolo, GM and VP, Glam Style
Rotolo has more than 23 years of executive experience in sales, marketing, and retail and has worked for PepsiCo, Apple Computer, and NetObjects.
 
Ryan Roslansky, VP, Products
Roslansky is responsible for building Glam.com websites, advertising products, vertical channels and product design. Roslansky previously held roles in product management and business operations for Yahoo! Real Estate, Yahoo! Local, and Yahoo! Search.

  Joe Lagani, VP and GM, GlamLiving
Lagani launched and set the strategic direction for Glam's new living channel, GlamLiving. Formerly VP Publisher at House & Garden, he was named Conde Nast's "Turnaround Publisher of the Year" for 2006. Prior to his role at Conde Nast, Lagani served as vice president and publishing director for Meredith Corporation, where he oversaw the operational management of several important business units including Country Home, the American Baby Group and Traditional Home.
 
Karin Marke, VP, Sales, Western Region
Marke previously was vice president of sales at MySpace. Prior to her role at MySpace, Marke held key sales and sales management positions at FastChannel Network and Terra Lycos.  She brings a strong background in the fashion and beauty retail space, having worked in sales and marketing for Sam & Libby as well as the Cricket Company.  Early in her career, Marke gained experience at Hearst magazines in the sales department for Cosmopolitan, House Beautiful, Harper's Bazaar, Connoisseur and Esquire.
 
Bernard Desarnauts, VP & GM, International
Desarnauts has more than 18 years of experience as an entrepreneur and executive with Silicon Valley technology, Internet, and new media companies, including Borland, Bitfone, NetObjects, and ViaFone.
 
Scott Swanson, VP and GM, Glam Media Publisher Network
Swanson leads the growth of Glam Media's overall distributed media platform for publishers. Previously with Tribal Fusion, the Web's third largest ad network, Swanson served as vice president of network development and was responsible for building the publisher network by forming and maintaining partnerships with premium publishers. He has also worked for other top internet networks including Engage, Flycast and ViTrue.
 
  Raj Narayan, Co-Founder and Architect
Narayan developed the first page-layout editor for the Web and holds two key Internet patents. His work has enabled more than 10 million websites and over a million e-commerce stores. He worked as a principal engineer at NetObjects, Ibizu, diCarta, and Zaudhaus.
 
  Dianna Mullins, Co-Founder, VP Glam Publisher Network & Ad Operations
Mullins has more than 20 years of organizational development and project-management experience, at companies such as Brocade Communications, NetObjects, Rae Technology, and the Women's Leadership Institute
   
Jennifer Salant, VP, Business Development
Salant comes to Glam Media after more than seven years with iVillage, where she led the business development team and oversaw secondary advertising revenue, licensing agreements, and digital commerce. Earlier in her tenure at iVillage, she helped chart the company's strategic partnership efforts. Prior to joining iVillage, Salant was a business analyst for Mitchell Madison Group.
 
Ralf Hirt, VP, International
Hirt oversees Glam’s international expansion strategy. Previously Hirt held various management positions at DoubleClick in New York, Hong Kong, Sydney and London, including Vice President of Operations and Strategic Partnerships. Hirt also served as a director of the board of the ADMA, Asian Digital Marketing Association and is the author of the forthcoming book 8W8 - Global Space Tribes, www.8W8.com.
 
Ernie Cicogna, Co-Founder and CFO
Cicogna has more than 30 years of experience in financial management, from startups to Fortune 100 companies such as IBM, and has managed a successful IPO.
Kiumarse Zamanian, VP, Advertising Technologies
Zamanian comes to Glam Media after leading Yahoo!’s product management team for media advertising infrastructure platforms. While at Yahoo!, Zamanian built and directed a new product team responsible for serving, targeting, logging/tracking and predicting inventory for graphical advertisements served on Yahoo! and its partner web sites. Prior to joining Yahoo! in 2004, Zamanian pioneered and directed the Informatica Developer Network as a global Web-based ecosystem for collaborative development of interoperable data integration solutions. Previously, he held product and program management and engineering leadership roles at Autodesk, Exxon and Unisys. Zamanian holds a Ph.D. degree in Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and has taught a number of software and management courses at University of California Berkeley and Carnegie Mellon West.

Art Berliner, Managing Director, Walden Venture Capital
Art founded Walden in 1974 and is known for his expertise in consumer, retail, and e-commerce businesses. He also co-founded Walden International and Walden Israel, two venture firms with over $1.5 billion in combined committed capital under management. Prior roles for Jaffe at Microsoft included corporate vice president and CFO of MSN, where Jaffe oversaw the transition from an Internet-access business to a formidable advertising business.

Phil Schlein: Venture Partner, U.S. Venture Partners, former President and CEO of Macy's California. He serves on the board of directors of Catalist, Specialtys, Auction Drop and Oakville Grocery.

Jarl Mohn: Jarl Mohn, also known as Lee Masters, was Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Digital, Inc., a publicly traded company focused in interactive television, cable television networks, and Internet enterprises. He served as its CEO from June 1999 to March 2002. Prior to Liberty Digital, he was founding president and CEO of E! Entertainment Television. From 1986 to 1989, Jarl was executive vice president and general manager of MTV and VH1. He began his professional life with a 20-year career in radio. Jarl currently serves as Chairman of the board of CNET Networks and has served on the boards of E.W. Scripps Company, DMX Music, Liberty Digital, and LodgeNet Entertainment Corporation. He is also a trustee of numerous nonprofit organizations.

Vic Zauderer: An experienced designer and information architect, whose clients have included Williams-Sonoma, Juice Beauty, Studio Archetype, and The Republic of Tea.

Josh Stein: Managing director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, his current board responsibilities include: Box.net, Clipsync, Eventful, Payperpost, Personiva, Polaris Wireless, Sugar CRM, and ViVotech.

John Cadeddu: Led Duff Ackerman & Goodrich into many new investments. John worked at Octel Communications (now Lucent Technologies) and Tandem Computers (now H-P) in Marketing and Strategic Planning roles.

Susan Kare: Kare created the interface graphics for the original Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows 3.0, and is a recipient of the Chrysler Design Award. Clients of her design practice have included Autodesk, Facebook, Getty Images, Hyperion, IBM, Intel, Intuit, Motorola, Nokia, San Francisco Water & Power, Siebel, Swatch, and Weatherbug. Jill Swid, Style Director
A fashion editor and stylist to the stars, Swid has headed fashion and beauty departments at Mirabella, Talk, and most recently, Radar. She has created looks for the likes of Angelina Jolie, Uma Thurman, Sienna Miller, Claudia Schiffer, and others. Swid has also appeared as a fashion expert on The View, Extra, and Living It Up With Ali and Jack.

Tracey Harrington Anderson, Executive Editor
Anderson was a senior editor at America Online, where she focused on shopping, celebrity news, movies, and television. She was also the Insider Column reporter for People magazine and covered events such as the Golden Globes, the Sundance Film Festival, and Hollywood movie premieres.

Bonni Evensen, Art Director
Evensen has 15 years of experience in design and illustration and has worked with clients such as Adobe Systems, Chronicle Books, McGraw-Hill, and Sottsass Associati.

Michael Tancinco, Managing Editor: A veteran of several online city guides, Tancinco was an editor at Metrobeat.com in New York, the managing editor for Citysearch in San Francisco, and an editorial director for Citysearch's national operations.

Susan Cernek, Fashion Editor
Cernek was previously the fashion news editor of both Elle and Elle Accessories, where she covered New York, London, and L.A. fashion weeks as well as international ready-to-wear, sportswear, and accessory markets.

India-Jewel Jackson, Beauty Editor
Immediately after graduating from Howard University, Jackson began building her publishing career by consecutively interning with Shape, CosmoGirl!, Seventeen, and In Style. After a brief stint living in London, where she enrolled in postgraduate journalism courses at the London College of Fashion, she worked at Ladies' Home Journal online and More.com

Erika Lenkert, Living Director
A regular contributor to In Style magazine, Lenkert has also written for Travel and Leisure, Cosmopolitan, and Los Angeles magazines. She has authored the Where to Wear fashion guides as well as The Last-Minute Party Girl, a guide to entertaining.

Rebecca Arora, Co-Founder and Wellness Editor
Even as a product manager at Glam.com, Oracle and Accenture Rebecca has consciously sought balance between work and well-being. She is a yoga teacher, kickboxing instructor, structural bodyworker and student of Zen. In a past life she also founded a non-profit mentoring program for low-income high school students.

Prior to joining iVillage, Schulte spent six years rising through the ranks of the sales team at Dow Jones property MarketWatch.com, and before that held media planning roles at global advertising agencies McCann-Erickson and Ogilvy & Mather. He is an Advisory Board member for iMedia Summit. Schulte holds a degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison.

Ryder has been a passionate advocate of the online space for more than 10 years at companies like AOL Media Networks and iVillage.com, helping advertisers like ConAgra, Anheuser-Busch, Scottrade, General Mills, Kraft, Kellogg’s, Target, JCPenney, Kohl’s, Wal-Mart, Sears, Quaker, McDonald’s State Farm, U.S. Army, TD Ameritrade, Purina, Best Buy and Sprint navigate the online space and communicate effectively with consumer audiences. She also led the Chicago Interactive Marketing Association as president from 2002 to 2004 and was instrumental in the rebirth of the interactive community in the Midwest.

Derek Houdyshell, Sales and Program Associate Director
What began as a small group of seven fashion bloggers blossomed under Derek's guidance to encompass more than 350 new media publishers and content partners. If you are a publisher of Glam content then Derek is the person to contact. When he’s not helping Glam Media develop this new business model, he is most likely to be found at AT&T Park, cheering on the San Francisco Giants.

Julieta Alvarado, Director of Network & Community Marketing
Thanks to her many years of experience with market research, affiliate recruitment, retention, and marketing, Julieta has been instrumental in helping grow the Glam Network to its current size of 350 plus online publishers. A real people person, the Venezuelan native is fluent in several languages. In addition to an international perspective, she has a strong creative streak and an entrepreneurial bent. Julieta has worked previously for Adobe Systems and Cheskin Research

Elizabeth Thompson, Manager, Publisher Operations
Thompson has nearly a decade of experience with Silicon Valley startups. Two years were spent in an entrepreneurial role creating an online event-planning tool and five years at Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Inc developing partner programs and relationships in the Channel Marketing group. Thompson is leveraging her startup experience to build and expand the business operations of Glam's Publisher Network.
